As Chair of the Knight Frank Group Executive Board, Alistair Elliott drives and implements the group’s global strategy across a network of 18,000 people in 523 offices across 60 territories. Passionate about client relationships and the highest standards of service he splits his time across four key areas. These are: meeting clients around the world; engaging with Knight Frank teams in all regions; recruiting and retaining the best people through providing the right training, development and motivation; engaging with media platforms around the world to develop Knight Frank’s brand profile. Alistair joined Knight Frank on the graduate scheme in 1983. After gaining extensive experience as an office leasing agent, he was elected as the Head of Commercial in 2006 and subsequently as senior partner and group chairman in 2013. Beyond Knight Frank, Alistair is a prominent member of the wider property industry. He is a LandAid Trustee; a member of the BPF Policy Committee; regular contributor to advisory committees and member of judging panels; and frequently writes for key property media columns, as well as attending a range of broadcast interviews around the globe.
A law graduate from Cambridge University, John trained as an accountant at KPMG where he went on to specialise in transaction and M&A advisory services with lead partner responsibility for a blue chip client base. John joined Knight Frank in 2004 as Group Finance Director and Head of Business Services.
As the Global Head of Residential, Andrew oversees 423 offices across 60 territories and is responsible for driving Knight Frank’s Residential business around the world. Andrew joined Knight Frank’s Farms & Estates Sales team in 1983. During his 30-plus years at the firm, he has spearheaded its Global Wealth initiative, commissioned global research publication The Wealth Report, and launched the Private Office service. Andrew counts more than 1,000 high-net-worth individuals and numerous billionaires among his exclusive client base. Andrew is also a member of BASC, the Country Landowners Association and an avid fundraiser for Knight Frank’s chosen charity the Rainbow Trust.
As Head of Global Capital Markets, Andrew is responsible for the strategic direction of the Capital Markets business and for the continuous international expansion of our platform. Accordingly, he spends a significant amount of time assisting intercontinental investors in their disposal and acquisition requirements around the world. Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in real estate investment and despite his title, remains actively focused on transactions. Andrew set up the European Capital Markets team in 1999 to service the multi-sector acquisition and sales requirements of international investors throughout Europe. Since then, the team has been involved with numerous portfolios as well as individual transactions from Portugal to Poland, and Finland to Greece. Andrew has also recently been appointed as Managing Director of Europe overseeing the management and development of our European business.
Based in Singapore, Kevin heads up our Asia Pacific, comprising almost 8,000 people across 147 offices in 15 markets. With extensive experience in professional services, Kevin joined Knight Frank Australia in 2008 as the Managing Director of the Investment Property Management business, Knight Frank Australia’s largest business unit which he transformed from a loss leader to a consistent profit generator. In 2010, Kevin was appointed the Group Managing Director of Knight Frank Australia and was instrumental in streamlining operations to improve business performance and extend key client relationships. Kevin was appointed to his current role in 2014. As Managing Director of Knight Frank Asia Pacific, Kevin has overseen a period of strong growth across our Asia Pacific businesses with revenue increasing by almost 50% and the addition of large businesses in the Philippines and New Zealand to the Knight Frank Network.
As Chair of the Commercial Board, Stephen is responsible for the Commercial business in the UK. In addition to overseeing 12 UK commercial offices comprising 850 people across 40 teams, Stephen focuses on market-facing transactional business and providing strategic advice to clients. The commercial teams provide the full range of transaction and consultancy services to institutional, private equity, family offices, sovereign wealth and real estate companies across all sectors including office, retail, industrial, leisure and occupier, as well as hotels, student accommodation, healthcare, and other emerging sectors across the UK and global markets. Over the past decade, Stephen has personally handled transactions across Central London totalling in excess of £12bn. To achieve his mission of creating an ambitiously diverse business, Stephen has established a series of development boards, dedicated to evolving a new strategy and focused on engagement, collaboration and agility. Four new critical area boards have also been established to oversee horizon-scanning projects designed to take the business forward in data and technology, and to make a positive impact within local communities.
